Ted Kennedy-The Dream

“The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.” Ted Kennedy

I wasn't around for his reckless years. Or for the tragedy and his great shame at Chappequidich. I remember him only as the most inspiring living Democrat I've ever known. And with the exception of Russ Feingold, he seemed the only true liberal in a field of democratic capitulation and appeasment. I know that Kennedy was a smooth operator, I don't judge him harshly for that--it comes with the territory. But his idealism and his often fiery invective have always inspired me, and I will not forget, or ignore, or ever put down the dream of liberalism. He will be missed.
